The very popular Maldon dances are usually held every 2 months, on the 1st Friday of the month.

There are 2 exceptions to the normal schedule. These occur at Easter, and on Melbourne Cup weekend. The Easter Dance occurs in a month when there would not otherwise be a dance, meaning that there are 3 months in a row where there is a dance, at that time of year.
